Building a Castle

I was inspired by Secret Agent Josephine who made her Daughter Baby Bug this great little pink house.

So I spent a full day constructing this huge castle for our little guy. In all there is a TV box, a vacuum box, and a few other boxes. During the construction I wasn't happy that the boxes had visible printing on them. So I took the boxes apart and glued them box together inside out.

While putting the boxes back together I used 3/4 a bottle of rubber cement. In the construction of the castle there is a whole roll of duct tape.

This thing is pretty sturdy and from what we have discovered a 6 foot 22 inch man can fit into it. It worked out perfect that we painted the living room grey over the summer and had a bunch left over.

After a night of paint drying I spent a bit of time painting the trim on the windows and the grass etc. Otis just loves his new castle, Sometimes when he is playing in his room he gets really quite. I find him in his castle looking at books. Auntie Jaz is going to paint a Dragons somewhere and we have to add the grout for the bricks. For now I think it is great and really enjoyed making this huge toy for him.

Thank you again Secret Agent Josephine for the great idea.
