Tooth Talk

Both kids have tooth news.

Marlo got her first tooth on the day she turned sixth months old.  The second soon followed with in a few days.  She has not got any since then.  As soon as the teeth grew in she struggled with drinking her bottle.  Thank goodness we tried a sippy cup.  She now exclusively drinks out of one specific cup.

Otis lost his first tooth while we were in Niagara.  He lost it on March 14th almost one week before he turned six.  I didn't realize they started to fall out this soon.  I feel like he just finished teething.  It had been loose for awhile and was just hanging there.

Nonna told him the tooth fairy would give him $10 a tooth.  I quickly piped in only for the first tooth, $2 after that.  The Tooth fairy in Kitchener can't afford $10 a tooth.  Otis convinced Nonna that the tooth-fairy actually brings $20 for the first tooth.  I have quite the negotiator on my hands.

We tried everything to convince him to let us try and pull it out.  He eventually got it out himself.  Then we had to convince him to let the tooth fairy take it.  We eventually settled on leaving a note for the tooth fairy asking her to leave the tooth behind so we could show daddy once we got home with a promise to give her both teeth on the next tooth.  The new tooth has come in nicely even though it started so far back.

I had a made dash to make a tooth fairy pillow.  We went to the fabric store and he picked out all the colours.  I managed to get the monster made but not stuffed before bed time.  I since finished it upon getting back to Kitchener.

Chocolate Milk Bubbles

We were treated to lunch over the weekend in an effort to feel normal.  Otis is very proud of his bubbles.

Poop Party

A few weeks back Otis and I had a conversation in the bathroom.

He had announced he had to go to the washroom at Dave's parents house.

On the way I said "if you go poop we will have a party"

He said: "And have a birthday cake?"

Me: "Yeah"

Otis: "and birthday candles?"

Me: " sure if you poop we will have a cake and candles"

All the while Dave and his parents were in stitches. This past Thursday was the day. he finally did it.

So Friday evening after work along with our regular Friday errands stopped and picked up a cake. Chocolate of course with peanuts and caramel.

Dave had called his parents during the day to let them know we would be having cake and I called Sean and Andy while running our errands.

There we go our Poop in the potty Party with candles and everything. We sang Happy Poop Day and for he is a Jolly Good Pooper.

Anything for cake.

Up Up and Away

We Brought Otis to his First Movie on Sunday. Dave decided that this would be a great Family event for his fathers day.

Otis had a lot of fun he did well. About 3/4 of the way through he lost focus. But overall he did thought the whole experience was exciting.

Kitty, Curious George and Duck had to come too.
