Everyone Loves............

Otis and I went to Marineland on Saturday.  My best friend growing up Lisa and her daughter Emily had a couple of extra tickets.  It was a great day other then the rain.  The kids were so excited they were up at the crack of dawn even though they had gone to bed really late.  We decided to stay at my mom's the night before so that we didn't have to drive a couple of hours before we got there.

My mom said she can remember going there when it first opened with her parents. All they had were some giant fairy tail books from some other amusement park, the one small indoor aquarium and a train ride.We walked over a set of tracks while we were there but had no idea what they were for.  Now I know.

The weather held out long enough that we were able to feed all the different animals.  We fed deer, fish, bears and elk.

There was only one Orca whale their now.  We saw the whale right after the first bought of rain.  It was just hanging out in the tank on the shallow observation tank.  It wasn't moving.  I wonder if this is something he does after the rain or feeding time.

The kids did really well through out the day.  We rented a stroller.  I am pretty sure this was our saving grace. Otis had a one track mind.  All he wanted to do was ride the ferris wheel.  We almost left before the rides.  The rain almost washed us out.

This rocket ride was his favorite of the day.  He got to be the commander.  Look at the concentration on his face.

Lisa had told the kids if they get scared on any ride to close their eyes.  If you look close you can see otis' eyes are sealed shut on the roller coaster.  He got off the ride saying he didn't like that one.  The first time he saw a commercial once we were home the roller coaster was the thing he mentioned.

We did a lot of splashing in puddles as a past time between attractions and on the long walk to the car.
